This facility has been built to meet the growing needs of the area's population and to ensure that room is available for those who need care.
The 24-bed hospice house is an inpatient facility, providing a care alternative to hospitalization for hospice patients. Staffed with a full complement of physicians, nurses and volunteers, patients will receive care for pain and symptom management. The house is also designed to provide a warm, homelike setting with living rooms, porches, dining facilities and other amenities. Family members are welcome to stay with their loved ones for as long as they like.
LifePath Hospice House Care
In the comfort of a homelike setting, Hospice House patients benefit from a full range of hospice services. Professional staff provides quality clinical care, pain control, symptom management, and psychosocial and spiritual support. Respiratory, physical and complementary therapies are also available.
The LifePath Hospice team works with a patient's physician and family to develop an individualized plan of care, providing short-term, intensive treatment during a medical crisis. With 24-hour visitation, the Hospice House is staffed by:
- 24-hour, round-the-clock nurses
- In-house physicians and nurse practitioners
- Counselors
- Chaplains
- Dietary personnel
- Home health aides
- Trained volunteers
Home Setting
Designed with warm, homelike qualities, the Hospice House features many high-tech amenities in a non-institutional setting. Spacious, private rooms allow families to spend quality time with their loved ones in beautiful, peaceful surroundings.

LifePath Hospice Residence (8 Beds)
Opened September 2001, the eight-bed Hospice House in Sun City Center is designed to provide a warm, homelike environment for our patients who either have no caregiver or whose caregiver is no longer able to care for them. LifePath Hospice staff and volunteers fill the caregiver role with special understanding and care. The LifePath Hospice House is a home just like yours and mine, but with eight bedrooms.
Patients are encouraged to bring treasured mementos from home, tape their grandchildren's drawings to the mirror, listen to their favorite music or savor their privacy. Family and friends may visit and stay with their loved ones in rooms with soothing art on the walls, flowers on the dresser and a comfortable sofa. The house also features a family room, a library and a residential-style kitchen where families and friends can talk or share a cup of coffee with a LifePath Hospice counselor.
